Join the Antietam Institute as member, Michael Hildebrand, discusses how his grandmother, Virginia, researched and prepared her original manuscript, and how he brought new life to Virginia’s original work after seventy years.

These First Saturday programs are an opportunity for Institute members who had ancestors who fought at Antietam, or have unique connections with Sharpsburg, tell a little about their ancestor and/or their experiences.

"Armies of Antietam: The Union and Confederate Armies at the Battle of Antietam" is a comprehensive look at the organization of both armies during the Maryland Campaign of September 1862.
