Other Benefits

The Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area is here to help! Heritage area staff provides technical support to stakeholders; connecting organizations with resources and funding sources, hosting three-county convenings to discuss shared challenges, and working one-on-one with visitor-serving organizations to help them sustain and grow.
Other heritage area benefits provided by the State of Maryland include access to low interest loans (for-profit organizations may apply), revenue bonds, and state income tax credits (in some cases these are even possible for non-historic structures).
