Author and university professor Tanisha M. Fazal discusses her book, Military Medicine and the Hidden Costs of War. Professor Fazal traces the history of medical treatment and casualty rates from the Civil War to the more recent counterinsurgency wars. As the wars became increasingly survivable, it becomes clear that there are human and financial implications that need to be explored to understand the true cost of war. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by the author.
This presentation is free with admission.
