
Visit the Washington County Rural Heritage Museum this coming Saturday, November 1st at 1:00pm for a great event the Friends of the Washington Rural Heritage Museum have planned. The museum is hosting a speaker on an topic of local interest. This is a wonderful way for history and social studies high school students to bring to life topics taught in the classroom. Visit their Early Home and Business, Farm exhibit halls, and outdoor Rural Village to learn about African American aspects of 19th-century Washington County rural history about slavery, farmers, Black schools, blacksmiths and Black broom makers.
