Uncovering Civil War Resources in the Western Maryland Room: Authors Share Their Insights

Three authors who used Western Maryland Room (WMR) resources to write about the Civil War as it affected the citizens of Washington County will discuss their research and writing methods in a panel discussion format, and talk about why the WMR’s resources are so valuable for historians, writers, and genealogists. The authors are Emilie Amt (Black Antietam), Mark Brugh (Ghosts of Antietam), and Steven Stotelmyer (The Bivouacs of the Dead). Part of America’s 250th Celebration, and in commemoration of the 164th anniversary of the Battle of Antietam in Sharpsburg, Maryland.
